Youth Association For Habitat

Youth for Habitat (YfH) was established as an international youth network during the 1995 Copenhagen Social Development Summit with the participation of 300 youth organizations with diverse religious, racial, cultural and national backgrounds.

We are serving as the Secretariat of Youth for Habitat International Network. The mission of YfH is to increase youth awareness for sustainable development, the livable environment and youth participation in decision making.

It aims to develop partnerships and networking among young people, to enable young people to establish partnerships with governments, local authorities and the private sector, to follow up and increase the participation of young people in international youth related events of the United Nations, Council of Europe and European Union.

With the target of increasing youth participation in decision making for sustainable development, YfH has been facilitating the network of local youth councils in Turkey, which is the National Youth Parliament.
